Frequently Asked Questions

Who can join Womanade at The Pinehills?

Membership is open to any woman residing in The Pinehills.

How do I join Womanade at The Pinehills?

Send an email to womanadeph@gmail.com with your full name, street address, and email address, and ask to be added to our mailing list. You’ll then receive bi-monthly emails about upcoming programs.

How often does Womanade meet?

We meet six times a year — January, March, May, July, September, and November — on the second Monday of the month. Meetings are currently held in the lower level of the Stonebridge Club.

How can I help Womanade?

Members are asked to make a suggested donation of $20 at each meeting, and many choose to make an annual gift as well. We accept cash or checks made out to Womanade at The Pinehills. We’re a registered 501(c)(3), so donations are tax deductible.

Do you accept donations from non-residents of the Pinehills?

Yes. Anyone can donate to Womanade at The Pinehills, and we’ve also received grants from charitable foundations in support of our mission.

Do you accept donations of clothing or furniture?

No — we accept only monetary donations, since the assistance we provide is financial: paying overdue bills for utilities and rent, and providing gift cards for food and clothing.

Can I make a gift in honor or in memory of someone?

Yes. Womanade gratefully accepts gifts made in honor or memory of loved ones. We send a card to the honoree or their family, and the donor receives acknowledgement of their gift for tax purposes.

As a member, what is expected of me?

We hope you’ll financially support our mission and attend our meetings, where you’ll meet other generous Pinehills women — and perhaps be inspired to get more involved by joining the Board of Directors.

Who provides refreshments for Womanade meetings?

The Hospitality Committee coordinates volunteers to bring an appetizer or sweet to each meeting — there’s usually a sign-up list at every meeting.

What does serving on the Board of Directors involve?

Board members serve a three-year term, typically assigned to a specific committee: Chair, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, Secretary, Communications, Outreach, Program, Hospitality, or At-Large. The Board meets six times a year, on the first Monday of the same months as the general meetings. New terms begin in July — reach out to the Chair if you’re interested.
